Lung King Heen 米芝蓮星級食府龍景軒
Lung King Heen is a fine dining Chinese restaurant in the Four Seasons Hotel. The restaurant ranked 43rd in the Elite Traveler World's Top Restaurants Guide 2012. It is the only Cantonese restaurant in HK that has been awarded the maximum three Michelin stars by the 2009 Hong Kong and Macau edition of the Michelin Guide. The meal cost me $570, but I found the dining experience very good. The food was top-notch and waiters filled our cups with tea very often. This is the best Chinese restaurant I have been to.

Christmas Celebrations with Family
TIFFIN @ GRAND HYATT - 2011 Christmas
Never in my life have I seen a 6-tier tray! It definitely looks elegant, but the food on the tray and the macarons are quite disappointing. I advise visitors to feast on the luscious cakes in the fridge. Please note that it is a semi buffet. You can get whatever you want from the fridge.

米芝蓮星級食府 Petrus
Petrus is one of the most famous French restaurants in Hong Kong, although it is somehow not given a Michelin Star this year. I love this restaurant because of several reasons. First, located on the 56th floor of the Island Shangri-La Hotel, it overlooks the magnificent Victoria Harbour. Second, every dish is like a piece of art. For instance, the dish with a lobster looks like a forest and the one with cod fillets is called "Spring". What a poetic name! Please note that the set lunch menu does not include dessert, which is frankly speaking not very impressive compared to the one of Gaddi's and Caprice. Still, it is good value for your money ($60). Besides, you may order tap water if you intend to save money. A bottle of still or sparkling water costs 100 dollars. Bon Appetit!

Crazy about the French cuisine, I have visited some famous French restaurants in Hong Kong at lunchtime. Thanks to the friendly and caring staff who put me at ease, I love Caprice the most. Petrus ranks the second owing to the superb view of the Victoria Harbour and the fascinating presentation of the food. Indeed, each of the following restaurants is unique and is good in its own way. Owing to the arrival of world renowned Executive Pastry Chef Cyril Dupuis, I visited the Lobby Lounge of the Intercontinental Hotel with my mum in August. It was a beautiful day and the view was breathtaking. The Parisian style pastries were of very high quality and it was simply the BEST high tea experience in my life.
During the festive season, I went there again with my mum and grandmother because of the flamboyant Christmas High Tea set. I was once again surprised by the twinkling Christmas tree, the crimson Christmas flowers and the gourmet food. The only thing that disappointed us was the smoggy sky. Anyway, I had a great time with my family members.
I’m going to be very busy with my work because of a temporary promotion and I’m not sure if I still have time to go blogging. I love sharing and I still have a lot to share, whereas reality is cruel. So stifling is my working environment that I want to leave as early as possible every day, but I just can’t because of the endless list of things to do and my inclination for zero faults, as a perfectionist. Anyway, I’m lucky though. I’m loved by many “angels”, so I believe I can survive the “apocalypse”. I’ll be back!

November is my birthday month. Overwhelmed by endless uphill work and cold eyes, I have been suffering from insomnia these days. Thanks to the ubiquitous angels all around me, I am once again able to remind myself that under no circumstances will I let myself unnecessarily fall into a state of melancholy and hatred. Grateful thanks are due to my loving mum, supportive friends and sincere students for their love, which has brightened up my gloomy days. Perhaps, the very essence of happiness is an awareness of love. Dear angels, I know no words adequate to convey my thanks for your support and I know I am loved. During the festive season, I wish you happiness and health.

Comment: Stressed out because of the endless marking, I have been feeling an overwhelming sense of helplessness and suffering from insomnia these weeks. It's time to chill out and indulge myself with cute cakes in Four Seasons, a six-star hotel. The Lounge there outperforms the Lounge and Bar of the Ritz-Carlton in a number of ways. The music is more relaxing. The seats are more comfortable. The waiters and waitresses served us more proactively and sincerely so that we felt completely at ease. We ordered Four Seasons Signature Blended Green Tea (very impressive!) and Organic Lychee Green Tea (too strong and slightly bitter). We were also provided with a refill (2 cakes / person), which gave us better value for money. Despite these, the food is sweeter than the one in the Ritz-Carlton. Besides, the view from the Ritz-Carlton is beyond compare. Anyway, it was a beautiful day and I felt reinvigorated afterwards.
