Comments: Climb high; See wide! On the 102nd floor, my mum and I sat in front of a huge sheet of glass. Listening to relaxing music, we gazed at the bustling city in amazement. The fleecy white clouds drifted across the sky. At times, rays of sunlight pierced the clouds and gilded the sea on which the waves danced and sparkled. Most of the cakes were luscious except the scones which were as hard as rocks. Visitors are advised to arrive at the hotel at 13:30 on weekdays in order to grab two window seats since reservations are not accepted. Besides, please note that gentlemen should not wear shorts and sandals. Moreover, it is a good idea to check the weather forecast beforehand and go there on a windy day so that one can enjoy the breathtaking view. Finally, you may want to put on sunscreen. Anyway, we had a great time and highly recommend The Lounge & Bar to you.

觀音山 Buddha Mountain

Kenji Chan: Buddha Mountain is a gripping drama with a gritty description of the bleak lower-class city life, lifelike characters the audience cares about and convincing performances from the ensemble cast (Sylvia Chang, Fan Bingbing, Bolin Chen and Fei Long). The film talks about the bewilderment of youth, family breakdown, generational conflict, respect for teachers, bereavement, loneliness, the unpredictability of life, etc. The developing city and the mountainous terrain of post-earthquake sizzling Sichuan are rawly shot, which provides a perfect backdrop for this coming-of-age story. The documentary-like style and the insertion of real footage also add to realism. I highly recommend it to movie lovers. 3.9 / 5

Comments: A relaxing buffet dinner with a good variety of food (Movenpick Ice-cream, lobsters - very fresh, etc), but some (only some) food is of average quality. After the dinner, we went to a free smoking area outside Le 188° Restaurant & Lounge on the 23rd floor to enjoy the breathtaking view.
